job Title: Tower Crane Manager
Location: West Coast Region

This position reports to the Regional Operations Manager


Oversee the daily operation of all tower crane personnel and service related issues including but not limited to work orders, timecards, estimates for repairs needed, and purchase orders from customers. Provide professional support and assistance to the Tower Crane Team. Work cooperatively with rental and sales departments and all other company personnel to ensure our customers are serviced in a timely and professional manner.

  • 5 years of managerial experience working in the heavy equipment, construction or crane industry.

  • Must possess superior communication, organizational, management and leadership abilities, and customer service focus.

  • Ability to manage, schedule and monitor service personnel.

  • Hands-on manager with mechanical experience to maintain shop and branch order.

  • Handle the needs of our customers in a courteous and professional manner. Effectively process customer questions, queries and problems with direct and quick responsiveness.

  • Identify and resolve customer complaints and problems. Follows up with customer to assure appropriate action was taken and the issue is resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

  • Team player – works cooperatively with other employees, keeping them informed to ensure positive customer relations are maintained.

  • Strong computer skills - Experience with computerized inventory and stores systems and computer skills in MS Office including Excel and the Internet a plus.

  • Daily documentation including completion of all process forms and reporting daily, weekly and monthly as required.

  • Project planning for tower crane assemblies including coordinating with customer, trucking companies, erectors, mobile crane companies, city officials, etc.

  • Work and plan to expand the growth of the tower crane division to new branches and new product lines and markets.

  • Arrange & purchase materials for projects.

  • Maintain Work Orders for the tower crane assemblies, warranties and customer billable.

  • Monitor contracts, deposits, reservations, & invoices for all tower crane rentals.

  • Analyze and track costs for mobilization work orders, as well as planning the mobilization of projects.

  • Coordinate and schedule all equipment.

  • Maintain tower crane write ups.

  • Track all tower crane components.

  • Quote customers and send out contracts.

  • Work with sales team for equipment rentals and sales.

  • Provide consultation to senior management on the tower crane activities of out branches.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Operations Manager.
