This position reports directly to the Branch Manager and will provide administrative support for operations of all shop personnel and service related issues including but not limited to work orders, timecards, estimates for repairs needed, and purchase orders from customers.  Be responsible for having the rental units meeting “ready” status.  Must be able to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and possess the skills necessary to work under pressure. Should have excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be a team player that adds value to the process and likes a position with varied responsibilities. Position requires good phone skills, excellent customer service, organization, efficiency, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow.

  • 5 years of experience working in the heavy equipment, construction or crane industry.
  • Must possess superior communication, organizational, management and leadership abilities, and customer service focus.
  • Ability to schedule and monitor service personnel.
  • Hands-on manager with mechanical experience to maintain shop and branch order.
  • Handle the needs of our customers in a courteous and professional manner.  Effectively process customer questions, queries and problems with direct and quick responsiveness.
  • Identify and resolve customer complaints and problems.  Follows up with customer to assure appropriate action was taken and the issue is resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Team player – works cooperatively with other employees, keeping them informed to assure positive customer relations are maintained.
  • Strong computer skills - Experience with computerized inventory and stores systems and computer skills in MS Office including Excel and the Internet a plus.
Daily documentation including completion of all process forms and reporting daily, weekly and monthly as required.
  • Provides professional support to the mission of the department.
  • Day-to-day payroll entry, labor justification, and tracking of employees daily hours and vacation.
  • Maintain time cards, post time to work orders and report hourly employee time to HR for payroll
  • Work Orders: accurate and complete descriptions of work performed, assure that listed parts coincide with work performed, ascertain purchase orders, and closing in a timely matter.
  • Have direct communication with customer to justify job costs on all work performed.
  • Ensure all units are thoroughly clean when repairs are complete.
  • Develop proficiency in our customized accounting system
  • All estimates for repairs will be reviewed or completed by Service Writer and approved by Branch Manager. 
  • Attend regular weekly and monthly safety meetings as scheduled.
  • Answer multi-line telephone system and give information to callers, take messages or transfer calls to appropriate individuals in multiple departments
